WOODEN BOATS
We specialise in wooden boat repairs and restoration from small clinker built boats to historic ships such as Paddle Steamer Waverley. Over the years we have successfully completed several prestigious contracts on historic vessels including RRS Discovery, Frigate Unicorn, Sir Walter Scott.
We have a regular customer base of wooden fishing boats which we slip for annual maintenance; these are from as far afield as Northumberland to Oban.
STEEL BOATS
We have a small team of skilled welders who carry out varied repairs such as replacement of hull steel plates to general welding repairs. Our welders also manufacture gates and railings.
FIBREGLASS BOATS
We also carry out repairs to fibreglass vessels.
WOODEN BOXES AND PALLETS
We are certificated and authorised to manufacture heat treated timber boxes and pallets.
PATENT SLIPWAY AND CRADLES
We have the use of a Patent Slipway with cradles and mechanical winch to slip boats up to 120 tonnes and up to 28m in length from the water into the boatyard for repairs and maintenance. Washdown facilities also available. The Patent Slipway, cradles and mechanical winch are owned and operated by Angus Council.
